Privacy Policy

Plain language. No surprises. We tell you exactly what we collect and why.

GoalSight, LLC  |  Effective August 4, 2026  |  Replaces all prior versions

PayDwell was built for drivers who are tired of being ignored. That starts with your data. We collect what we need to do the job and nothing more. We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising. We do not build profiles on you.

This policy tells you exactly what data PayDwell handles, where it goes, and what we do with it. If anything in here surprises you, that is a failure on our part.

01

Who We Are

PayDwell is operated by GoalSight, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. Our contact information is at the bottom of this page.

PayDwell is a mobile app for owner-operator truck drivers and small fleet drivers. It documents detention time at shippers and receivers, generates GPS-verified invoices, and helps drivers get paid for time they are owed.

02

What We Collect and Where It Lives

PayDwell handles two categories of data: information that stays on your device, and information that is processed by our server to deliver Pro features. The table below is the complete picture.

Data Where it lives Why we need it
Session records (arrival/departure times, duration, billing amounts) On device Your detention history. Stays on your phone.
Gate photos and Signed BOL photos On device Your evidence. Never uploaded to our servers.
Broker names, emails, and contract terms On device Your broker records. Stored locally only.
GPS coordinates at Gate Arrival and Signed BOL On device + invoice PDF + hash-chain record Timestamp verification on your invoices. Also submitted to our server within your invoice’s hash-chain record (Section 4).
Invoice hash chain (SHA-256 hash of session evidence fields) Our server Lets anyone verify your invoice has not been altered. We store the hash, not your photos. See Section 4.
Subscription status (Free or Pro) Our server Server-authoritative tier. Lets your Pro subscription restore on a new device.
Automated email delivery records (sent/bounced) Our server Pro feature. Confirms your invoice reached the broker. Delivery status only, not the email content itself.
Push notification device token (iOS only, Pro) Our server Required to deliver Pro notifications (billing started, invoice sent, etc.). Deleted if you unsubscribe from Pro.
Analytics or behavioral tracking Not tracked We do not run analytics SDKs. No third-party tracking, no advertising identifiers, no behavioral profiling. The app’s internal diagnostic events stay on your device and are not transmitted. The only data our server receives is the data listed in the rows above.
Your photos, your name, your DOT number Never sent to us Stays on your device. We do not want it.

Free-tier users: the core PayDwell workflow is entirely on-device. Your photos, sessions, and broker records never leave your phone unless you share an invoice yourself. The hash chain is the only new server interaction Slice 9 introduces for Free users, and it stores only a cryptographic fingerprint of your session evidence fields, not the evidence itself.

03

Location Data

PayDwell uses background location to detect when you arrive at and depart from a facility. This is the core mechanism that starts and ends your detention session automatically.

Location data is used only for geo-fence detection. GPS coordinates captured at the moment you take your Gate Arrival and Signed BOL photos are embedded in your invoice PDF as verification data. These coordinates are sent to our server only as part of your invoice’s hash-chain record (Section 4) and are not shared with any third party.

We do not track your location continuously. We do not build a movement history. We do not share your location with brokers, advertisers, or any third party outside of what appears on the invoice PDF you choose to send.

04

The Hash Chain and Invoice Verification

Every PayDwell invoice carries a SHA-256 hash chain. The hash is computed from session evidence fields (arrival and departure times, GPS coordinates, billing amounts, and photo fingerprints) that the app submits to our server for this purpose. We store the resulting chain record — including the arrival timestamp — never your photos, which do not leave your device.

This lets anyone verify that your invoice has not been altered after it was generated. A broker, a factoring company, or an arbiter can enter the hash code printed on your invoice at verify.paydwell.app and get a simple yes/no answer on whether the invoice is unaltered. That endpoint requires no login, no account, and sends no data back to us about who is checking.

Pro subscribers have access to an in-app verification interface. The underlying hash chain and the public verification endpoint are available to all tiers, including Free.

05

Automated Email (Pro Feature)

Automated email delivery is a Pro capability that is not yet enabled in the current app version — there is no setting for it in the app today, and no automated email is sent on anyone’s behalf. When it ships, it will work as described below, and this section describes the data flow so there are no surprises when it arrives. When enabled, PayDwell sends two emails on your behalf to the broker email address you have on file:

Arrival alert — when you cross into the facility geo-fence, the broker receives a notification that you have arrived and that detention tracking is active. This creates a timestamped record in the broker's inbox before the clock even starts billing.

Invoice delivery — when your session ends (either by tapping End Session or by departing the geo-fence), the broker receives your full invoice PDF. This is the same PDF you would otherwise send yourself through your mail app.

Both will be off by default and enabled individually in your settings when the feature ships. Until then, neither exists in the app and neither email is ever sent.

We use Resend to deliver these emails. Resend receives the broker's email address and the invoice PDF for the purpose of delivery. Resend does not receive any other data. We receive delivery and bounce status so we know whether your invoice reached the broker. We do not track whether emails are opened or links are clicked.

Free-tier users: the manual send-from-your-own-mail-app workflow is unchanged and always available regardless of your subscription status.

06

Subscriptions and Payment

PayDwell subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not see, store, or handle your payment information. Your credit card number never touches our servers.

To confirm your subscription status and restore it on a new device, our server validates your subscription receipt directly with Apple or Google. This validation tells us your current tier (Free or Pro). It does not give us access to your payment details or billing history.

07

Third-Party Services

PayDwell uses a small number of third-party services. Here is the complete list:

Service Purpose What they receive
Supabase Our backend infrastructure (database and server functions) Hash chain records, subscription state, delivery logs, push tokens. Hosted in US East (Ohio).
Resend Transactional email delivery (Pro automated email) Broker email address and invoice PDF, for delivery only. No behavioral tracking configured.
Apple App Store / Google Play Subscription management and payment processing Receipt validation to confirm subscription status. They process payment; we do not.
Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) iOS push notifications (Pro feature) Notification content and your device token. Required to deliver push notifications to your phone.
Google Maps Platform Facility search and map display (finding addresses to add to your broker list) The text you type in facility search is sent to Google as you type, to power address autocomplete, along with standard Maps API requests. Google receives your typed search text; we do not store it. No persistent location tracking.

We do not use advertising networks, social media trackers, analytics platforms, or data brokers. This list is complete.

08

Data Retention and Deletion

Server-side data (hash chain records, subscription state, email delivery logs, push tokens) is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete the app and do not use PayDwell for 24 months, we will delete your server-side records. You can also request deletion at any time by emailing us.

On-device data (sessions, photos, broker records) is controlled entirely by you. Deleting the app removes it from your device. We have no copy of it.

Invoice PDFs you have shared or emailed exist wherever you sent them. We cannot delete copies that have already been delivered to a broker's inbox.

09

Your Rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to request corrections, and to request deletion. California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information) and the right to know the categories of data collected.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

10

Children

PayDwell is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes that affect how we handle your data, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and note what changed. For material changes, we will notify users through the app. The prior version of this policy (on-device only, no backend) applied through May 18, 2026.

July 20, 2026: Clarified that the session evidence fields used to build your invoice’s hash chain (arrival and departure times, GPS coordinates, billing amounts, photo fingerprints) are submitted to our server when the chain record is created. This describes how the hash chain has always worked; no data practice changed.

August 4, 2026: Three accuracy corrections, no data practice changed. (1) The analytics row now states precisely that in-app diagnostic events stay on your device and that our server receives only the data listed in Section 2. (2) Section 5 now states that automated email is a Pro capability not yet enabled in the current app version — earlier wording implied settings that do not exist in the app today. (3) The Google Maps Platform entry now states that facility-search text is sent to Google as you type, to power autocomplete.
